A Wintery Moab Utah

Every time I’ve been to Moab, it’s been in the dead heat of summer! Almost unbearable with the sun heating up those red rocks, and your feet. So, when the opportunity came to go to Moab during the winter time, I thought, “It’s gotta better down there than it is here!”

For the most part that were true except for it was still very cold and very windy! Life was okay so long as you weren’t hanging out in any shadows. It was a strange feeling being there in Moab grateful for the sun instead of the shade.

You almost can’t go to Moab and not take a tour through Arches National Park and hike to the very iconic Delicate Arch that can be found on half of the Utah License plates.

The best part of the hike to Delicate arch is when it finally comes into view after you make the final climb up the back side of this… mountain(?) … where it opens up into the valley where the arch appears to have taken center stage on what feels like nature’s amphitheater.
