The Story

The Tracy Arm Fjord. A 4 hour scenic detour the cruise ship took before spinning around and heading back out the way it came. If you look at the map at the bottom, you’ll see that we were just about to the base a REALLY BIG glacier. Sadly, the cruise ship could not get any closer than it did because the water was dotted with icebergs.

This scenic cruise started at 5am with the sun already well into the sky. Two hours in and two hours back before making our way into Juneau for the rest of the day.

The photos below are the best, and most interesting, that I took from this part of the cruise. The mountains, the icebergs, and the little island is what adds interest to the photo. The other photos….were well… a great preview for the final shot.
