Using Photoshop, I created a composite image of a 2012 VW Jetta GLI. The car was photographed in a parking garage, but the surrounding was replaced with an outdoor scene.
This Chevy Camaro was photographed inside a parking garage, but was composited onto a backdrop that has a city skyline, trees, fog, and stars.
The photo composite (Titled: Leaving it Behind), took 15 hours to edit. While the story can be told however you want, the but the environment has rain, a back road, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
We took over 50 pictures of this scene using a technique called, “Light Painting.” Then, using photoshop, all of the pictures were combined to make the single shot with all the areas lit up.
This is a photo restoration of my great grandfather. The photo had scratches and tears all over it and was restored to a point in time when didn’t have those. This is a highly coveted picture in the family.
There is a balance between giving an old photograph renewed life and maintaining the essence of the photo and the era in which is was taken.
