The Fall of The House of Usher was one of Edgar Allen Poe’s famous short stories. A story in which a brother buried his sister alive in the basement of their home. The sister scratches her way out of the coffin in which she was buried and seeks to find her brother out of anger!

This is a new book cover concept based on the events of the story. It’s a little creepy and unlike anything I have ever done before. But I like that it was challenge of my skills and a way to broaden my focus of things I can do in Photoshop! What do you think?

Dustin Olsen! I love this! It’s so creepy and intriguing and AWESOME. You did a really great job combining all of these images to make it look natural. I could definitely see this as a book cover or a movie poster! Good job for trying new things and branching out.

It’s very creepy! Just imagine trying to find some of those images online for the idea, let alone getting the project done. I could only take so much. :)

S-P-O-O-K-Y…. but this shows your compositing skills nicely. It also reminds me of a book cover illustration, so it is nice to add to your many creative projects and it shows off your versatility!
