This is my Junior Mints Product Redesign presentation that I gave in front of my peers. This was such a fun project and one that certainly stretched my creative skills and print design techniques. I spent approximately 25 total hours working on this project from start to completion. During that time, I changed my overall design and look of my project twice before coming up with my final idea and design. I hope you like what you see! I received full points on this project (50 out of 50)!
This is the advertisement that was designed to kick off the new fresh look of Junior Mints. It’s intent is to appear in magazines that target young adults (about college age).
This is my professor feedback from Caryn Esplin:
Dustin, I must say you outdid yourself with this project. Way to go! Super work!!! Nice designs!!!! Seriously, now that we have the validation piece taken care of, I really did think your project was one of the best I have seen. Your package is my favorite and your page layout is sweet. I love your logo and how you contrasted the Script and the sans serif. I do think the shadow is a bit much on the sans serif font, because it printed a bit dark and makes the letters a bit muddy. Your mint leaves in the background add such a nice touch. You should have listed size recommendations for your fonts, but your photos, package design and outstanding logo made up for that one little omission. Nice work, and thanks for your hard work in this class! This was top quality and very professional. You set a nice, high bar for your classmates. Also, thanks for letting me keep one of your boxes to share, and I certainly appreciate the mints you supplied me with. Woo-hoo!
