Even though I took nearly 2,000 of these types of images before – I knew I could get better shots! The biggest thing I changed with this shot is that I put my 18-135mm lens on all 3 of my macro extension tubes instead of my 50mm with one or two extension tubes. Another thing I changed was I made sure the water was ice cold because I heard that would give me better splashes, but also it wouldn’t fog up my lens.

I am really pleased with the quality of photos I was able to get this time around. They are infinitely sharper and turning the camera vertical also made a big difference in being able to capture all that was going on above the lens.

These are amazing! My favorite is the orange and gold dandy at the bottom. I just love that cool dome at the bottom. Rare shot! You are a pro at this now. :) I am glad to see you are putting those extension tubes to good use. Did you do anything different with your flash? Did you use one or two speedlights?

I just used one speedlight this time. But I had to leave the lights on in the room because then it was too dark and I had to work extra hard at getting enough light! But I love them! The extension tubes have been a fun little toy in my bag of expensive toys. :)

Do I love these? Well yes, I do. The last one is still my favorite, for obvious reasons.

There are always those obvious reasons! I’m glad you love them! We will have to do these again sometime!
