Colorado Springs, CO

Last weekend I went to spend the weekend in Colorado Springs, Colorado! For my first time there… it was awesome!! From the Garden of the Gods to the Austin Bluffs at Palmer Park and a quick trip to the Broadmoor Resort, there were so many photos to take! The photos posted here are just some of my favorite out the 10GB of photos that were taken! The edits done on these photos were mostly done in CameraRaw. Some of the photos are HDR photos and I used Photomatix and HDR Efex Pro. There was no major editing done on these photos, just basic enhancements of the photos to bring them even a...

Falls Creek Falls – IDAHO

Took a little trip out with Jim Harmera few weeks ago to Falls Creek Falls near Swan Valley, Idaho and I loved it! We had to get in wadders so that we could get all the way across to some of parts so we could get some of those shots! It was a very early morning but I’ll tell you what, 200% worth the sleep I sacrificed! I am going to print up the big panorama (the 2nd image here). It’s 10 inches high by 34 inches long! Can you believe that… it’s going to look amazing! Everyone who as seen these already loves the pano! Which one do you think would look good printed? I...

Little House on the… Prairie?

HDR – Edited Original – Normal Exposure You’d never guess where this old house is! You’ve got it! Middleofnowhere, Idaho. I don’t know how I found myself out this direction let alone interested in this house. However, I must say… when you’re driving a long a dusty old road and you look back in your mirror and you see this sunset that adds this color to everything you just can’t resist stopping (and then coughing because of all the dust you kicked up) and spending those famous 5 minutes photography what’s around you.This...

Fire Sunset

Posted in Nature | 2 comments

This shot turned out awesome! There was a fire out on the desert here in South Eastern Idaho and it made the sunset just look awesome! It was certainly a sky to not miss when it comes to photography! In this shot, I used Photomatix to process some HDR effects on it and then I used Camera Raw and Photoshop to finish it off. I wanted a high contrast feel to it and I think it turned out.The only thing I wish that could have been different to make this shot cooler is if the bails were closer to one another. But, either way, I just love how it turned out! Leave me a...

Yellow Flower. | It’s just natural.17 January 2011 • 4:35 pm | Rexburg, IdahoCanon Rebel XS | 187MM | F/ 5.6 – 1/30 | ISO: 800 | EV: 0I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this one right out of the camera. The blur in the background and the natural spotlighting that seemed to be on this flower. I was amazed at myself in how well this one turned out!Editing:I did very little editing to this one. I did add a vignette and sharpened it while boosting some of the colors in it. Other than that, everything else is how it came out of the camera! Sparkling Purple. | Looks fake,...
