Becky came out on the photo shoot that I did with Laurence. Despite what she says, “I’m not good at pictures.” She is still very photogenic and always makes for a good shot with her natural smiles and expressions.
Editing:
I spent some time on this photo. I enhanced the highlights in her hair, and removed the redness of her face because it was cold outside. The wall behind her was yellow and so I changed the color of it so it was more neutral, less distracting. Once I got the colors right, I adjusted some of the lighting and then softened her face. With some routine portrait enhancements (brighter eyes and whiter teeth. Eyelashes added. Softer skin. Darker eyebrows. Removed blemishes.) that’s all I did.

This was a good shot I thought. I really just loved this wall that we stood up against because I could see many possibilities with it. After I added the vignette, I liked how it brought out an orange color around the photo. Makes the blue pop more.
Editing:
I enhanced the highlights in her hair, and removed the redness of her face because it was cold outside, still. I lightened the yellow color of the wall and then added some contrast into it to give it some depth. I then added the vignette. I changed the color of her shirt a bit to stand out more from the background. With some routine portrait enhancements (brighter eyes and whiter teeth. Eyelashes added. Softer skin. Darker eyebrows. Removed blemishes.) that’s all I did.

My roommate Laurence took this shot. He’s new to the photography principle side of life so I was trying to teach him all that I knew in like 2 seconds so that he could take a well composed shot; like a professional would. Haha. It was a good experience and he loved it… He liked seeing a photo he took and knowing it was good.
Editing:
I will have to admit that I was going for a bit of a Brazilian color scheme here. I boosted the yellow behind us along with my green shirt. I changed the color of Becky’s shirt so that it was more inline with the color you’d see on their flag. I added a blurred vignette afterwards. With some routine portrait enhancements (Softer skin. Darker eyebrows. Removed blemishes.) that’s all I did.

This photo is Becky’s favorite and one that everyone has liked so far. Well, it’s the only one that has been shown to them. But it has a nice elevated angle and well composed. Great job Laurence!

What a beautiful couple! I like the bright colors and the burned borders add a lot. Just a few edits really make a difference. I hope to see more photo shoots soon. Good luck with the wedding plans, and please remind me of your date?
