Photo Designer - Dustin Olsen
My name is Dustin Olsen! I am a graphic designer. Photographer. Presenter. Teacher. And a Mormon. I have always loved the creative profession and creating something new for others to see and use.
I grew up in Tooele, UT where I attended high school. While I was there I was apart of Future Business Leaders of America and was President my senior year. I was in Concert Choir and then in Show Choir and served in the presidency of both. I was also on the school newspaper staff as business manager. By my senior I was Editor-In-Chief and Business Manager of the paper. I participated in the school musical, Seussical The Musical, and later became Box Office manager.
I started selling cars at the age of 18 for Quality Automotive in Tooele, UT. I became very successful and that’s when I really found my passion for sales and talking with people. After I sold cars for a while, I served a LDS Mission to Fortaleza Brazil for two years before coming back to the United States. I learned to fluently speak, write, and read the Brazilian Portuguese language.
I am a Web Design major from BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. I have special emphasis in Photography and Public Relations. I have been involved in Talent Activities and in the Communication Department under the Visual Communication emphasis as a Teaching Assistant for the dean of Visual Communication and a Lab Technician to help professors and students with any visual design help.
I also teach online photography classes through ImprovePhotography.com to people from around the world. We are working on course development for several other courses to be offered, but focus mainly on helping people understand better about photography to achieve those professional results!
